Dan Licata is a New York City-based comedian with unbridled style. In his first ever comedy special, For the Boys, Dan storms an auditorium full of 15-year-old boys at his alma mater, Amherst Central High School, in Buffalo, New York.

How the hell did he pull this off? I guess he paid the rental fee, and Amherst is one of the few High Schools left in America that would let this kind of shit happen without reviewing the material. The result? A really fresh and hilarious way to do a special. Licata splices short skits and old home videos of him in high school alongside his sophomoric, hyperbolic stand up that sometimes goes over the audience’s head, but in the best way possible.

It is Jackass meets Tim Robinson at alt-comedy show in a Brooklyn. I love it because it’s wildly different than anything I’ve seen over the last 10+ years; a much-needed palate cleanser.
