Stavros Halkias To Star in New Comedy Film, Let’s Start a Cult, with CM Punk and Tom Papa
Stand-up comedian & Stavvy’s World podcast host, Stavros Halkias, is headed to the big screen this Fall. The comic took social media to announce his brand-new feature film Let’s Start A Cult set to release in theaters October 25th. The indie comedy film for which he stars in & co-wrote with Wes Haney (The Characters with Kate Berlant & Tim Robinson on Netflix) & writer-director Ben Kitnick.
Film Logline: “Having missed out on his cult’s long awaited ritual suicide, an obnoxious loser teams up with his bogus ex-messiah to rebuild their doomsday commune. Traveling together through middle America, the constantly-bickering duo induct a military wannabe, a mentally unstable mom, and a mysterious foreign hitchhiker into their cult… but will this family of outcasts fulfill their transcendent destiny, or decide this life might be worth living after all?”
Alongside Stavros, the film stars Eric Rahill, Katy Fullan, and Daniel Simonsen, with appearances from Joe Pera, Ethan Suplee, Tom Papa, and professional wrestler Phil “CM Punk” Brooks.
